Ball Pressure Test Apparatus (Compliant with IEC 60695-10-2 Figure 1)

Application:

Designed to evaluate the resistance of non-metallic materials to heat-induced deformation under a specified load, in accordance with IEC 60695-10-2.

Key Features:

Loading Device (Figure 1):

Test Specimen Support: Ensures stable positioning of the specimen during testing.

Pressure Ball:

Precision spherical indenter with a radius of R = 2.5 mm (compliant with standard dimensions).

Loading Rod & Weights: Delivers a controlled vertical load to the specimen via the pressure ball.

Vertical Guidance System: Restricts lateral movement of the pressure ball, ensuring unidirectional force application.

Heating Oven:

Single-chamber design compliant with IEC 60216-4-1 for uniform air temperature distribution.

Maintains test temperature within ±2°C tolerance during operation.

Equipped with a pre-heated specimen support system to minimize thermal fluctuations.

Test Procedure Compliance:

Conditioning: Standard pre-test conditioning of specimens at 15–35°C / 45–75% RH for ≥24 h (customizable per material requirements).

Thermal Equilibrium: Heating oven and specimen support stabilized at specified test temperature for ≤24 h prior to testing.

Test Execution:

60 min ±2 min load application under controlled temperature.

Post-test immersion in 20°C ±5°C water for 6 min ±2 min, followed by rapid drying.

Configurable Parameters (as per Relevant Specification):

Conditioning requirements (temperature, humidity, duration).

Test temperature (user-defined, with ±2°C precision).

Specific test surface and load application points.

Standards Compliance:

Fully aligns with IEC 60695-10-2 requirements for fire hazard testing.
